ASSE had a great opportunity to make an impression by winning the derby for its return to Ligue 1, but the Greens failed to win against an opponent who was able to assert their superiority. Despite a match which would have allowed them to bring home at least a point, the Stéphanois did not find the net to score this decisive goal.
