Caught in a series of bad results, the women's section of LOSC got its head out of the water with a victory pocketed with forceps this Sunday (1-0) against Metz.
Back in front of their audience, which they had left with a big defeat during the Derby du Nord, the LOSC players showed their fangs this Sunday, in a duel with FC Metz. They also took the lead from the first minutes with an early goal from Elena Da Rocha (6′) who took advantage of a poor restart from Metz to hit the mark. We then had to resist, with the ball at our feet. Taylor Beitz had to feast to maintain this meager advantage by repelling a penalty (89′) a few seconds into added time. In the meantime, Nesryne El Chad thought he had made the break (87′), but his goal was refused for offside. Once the heat was over, the LOSC women were able to enjoy a precious success (1-0) by overcoming the Messines of Anaïs Lambert, a former member of the house.
This victory allows Yacine Guesmia's group, which has one more match than the majority of its competitors, to climb to fourth place in the standings with 13 points on the clock, three less than RC Lens, leader of the championship.
LOSC: Beitz (c), Delcroix (Vanuxeem, 74′), Mbala (El Chad, 46′), Delaby, Bamenga, Conesa, Johnson, Hlushchenko (Policnik, 90+5′), Hamidou, Devleesschauwer, Da Rocha (Pian, 59 ').
