It's the kind of visual that's often superb but also prone to dissatisfaction. The LOSC recently paid the price with Christophe Galtier, it is the turn of the MHSC with Rémy Cabella.
Yesterday, on the occasion of its birthday, Montpellier Hérault increased its communication. A superb poster was notably unveiled. It highlighted many key figures in the history of our club, whether players, coaches and its presidents. Quickly, the first absent or forgotten ones were noticed, for better or worse, and the names of Rolland Courbis, Younès Belhanda and even Andy Delort were mentioned.
This is how on his Instagram account, Rémy Cabella, trained in Grammont and notably French Champion in 2012, is surprised by the non-presence of notable players of his generation: “ The 90 generation, winner of the Gambardella and 2012 French Champion… where are we?«
We will necessarily think of him (121 matches with the MHSC), of Benjamin Stambouli (130 matches) too but especially of Younès Belhanda (144 matches). All major architects of the title. Should they have had their place in this visual? Certainly. Could choices have been made in relation to their recent past with our club and missed returns at different levels?
As always, it will be difficult to get an answer to these questions.
