A real will-o'-the-wisp on the left flank of the Lille attack, Osame Sahraoui would have liked to leave with the three points this Friday. LOSC, opposed to Olympique Lyonnais, nevertheless settled for a draw.
Alongside Gabriel Gudmundsson, with whom he already forms an explosive duo, Osame Sahraoui was one of the greatest dangers of the Lille attack, multiplying the overlaps. Sometimes too individual, he made differences before gradually fading away, shaken by Lyon's aggressiveness during the second act. He even came off during the game (70′), hit in the knee and ankle: “It hurt at the time, when I pressed. We're obviously going to do some tests, but I already feel better“, reassured the Moroccan international in the mixed zone at the final whistle (1-1).
Osame Sahraoui, in front of the media, tried to analyze the meeting, judging that the draw was what was most logical for everyone: “It was a good match. We controlled the first half and created a lot of situations to score a goal. We should have reached the second period with more goals, a bigger advantage. We stopped playing a bit in the second half and they created a lot more situations than us. The draw point is rather logical for both teams, even if we wanted to take three,” he admits, disappointed.
But how can we explain this change of face? “There are different factorsbegins Osame Sahraoui, racking his brains. I don't know. They pushed a little more, their pressure was a little higher, we had less space… I think we started the second half well, a bit like what we did in the first, but we was then in more difficulty. We have to be consistent during the same match. We have no regrets, we just need to be more consistent over time”he ended up insisting in the bowels of the Decathlon Arena – Stade Pierre Mauroy.
