Present at a press conference this Friday, Luis Enrique was asked about the importance of his midfielders. The Spanish coach expects a lot from the five, even six, players who can play in this position.
Last week, Luis Enrique explained at a press conference that he had five players at his disposal who could play in midfield. This Friday at a press conference before PSG – RC Lens, the Spanish coach mentioned an additional player in the lot.
“Kang-In Lee can play in midfield, although he often plays forward. I expect my midfielders to score a lot of goals and make assists while contributing defensively. I also want him to keep a high standard. Because it is with competition that we make the team progress” he said.
Asked about Bradley Barcola's recent good performances, Luis Enrique was clear in his response about the French international.
“How many goals? I don't know and I don't care. If he doesn't score in 3 games, you're going to criticize him. A season is a marathon, there are ups and downs. If Barcola doesn't score, someone else will. That's how a team works.”
