Brazilian defender Luan Peres, who left OM in the summer of 2022 for Fenerbache, has had a checkered journey since his departure from Marseille.
The man with 50 matches in the Olympian jerseys, during the 2021-2022 season, left a fairly good memory on the Canebière, the memory of a first-hand man, essential in the system of the Argentine technician Jorge Sampaoli and who never once gave up on the green rectangle. The Brazilian had, in the middle of the transfer window, chosen to leave OM for Istanbul and Fenerbahce. But what happened to him afterwards?
A MIXED PASSAGE IN Türkiye….
On July 29, 2022, the native of Sao Paulo joined the Istanbul club for a little over 5M Euros after a stint at OM which can be described as successful. However, his adventure within the Turkish club will not be a complete success this time. Indeed, after only 10 short matches, the former Club Bruges player suffered a serious knee injury on September 15, during a Europa League match against Stade Rennais. An unwelcome injury which happened at a time when the native of SÃO PAULO was really beginning to establish himself as a true leader of the Turkish defense. He then followed 18 months of hardship with repeated physical problems. A time announced towards Brest at the end of August 2024, the Brazilian will end up leaving the Turkish club, freely, to return to the country to the Santos club on September 2.
A return to the country with the common thread of the mission to put Santos back in the elite of Brazilian football after its descent in 2023.
