At the start of the season, several young ASSE players are joining the various French youth teams. Mathis Amougou and Ayman Aiki (U20), Kévin Pedro (U19), as well as Fodé Camara and Luan Gadegbeku (U18) recently wore the Bleuets jersey. On the U17 side, two talents from the Saint-Etienne training center are also regulars in the national selection.

A surprise absence!

As for several weeks, ASSE continues to place two players in the French team for the 2008 generation, which is playing in the U17 category this 2024-2025 season. Paul Eymard, midfielder, is among those summoned. On the other hand, Djylian Nguessan, usually selected, was not selected this time. His absence could be due to unavailability which prevents him from participating in this gathering.

The two players will therefore inevitably miss the national U17 clash between Cavigal de and ASSE. In any case, for several weeks, they have both been regularly upgraded!

An attractive program for !

Lionel Rouxel, coach of the French U17 team, has called twenty players to participate in the first round of qualifying for the 2024-2025 edition of the European championship in this category.

After two preparation camps and four friendly matches against Uzbekistan (4-0 and 3-1 victories), Wales (3-1 victory) and Portugal (2-0 defeat), serious things begin for the U17 selection.

The Bleuets will fly to Cyprus, which will host group 11 of the first qualifying round for Euro 2025. They will face Gibraltar, Cyprus and Slovakia on October 29, November 1 and 4 (see below). Lionel Rouxel has selected twenty players for this campaign.

During this first elimination round, the first two teams in each group (i.e. twenty-eight teams in total) will qualify for League A in the second round. The twenty-six other teams will be transferred to League B.
