A stunning first round for the U20s
Bernard Diomède and his young players delivered a spectacular game last Friday against Morocco. After being led 3-1, the French turned the game around. The blueberries scored 2 goals in the 5 minutes following the 3rd Moroccan goal. The French U20s then scored a final goal from the penalty spot to win the match.
The match took place in the Château de Clairefontaine complex. The young Saint-Etienne player, Ayman Aiki, was not started during this first meeting. The ASSE winger, however, came into play during the second half. A second friendly opposition between the 2 selections took place this Monday at 3 p.m. The game once again took place in Yvelines.
France wins again
France won 5 – 4 in this friendly match against the young Moroccans. First led, the French U20s quickly reversed the trend. The two teams parted with a river score of 4-2. The Moroccans did not give up and showed the extent of their talents by equalizing through Dunkirk’s Yassine Gessime. We will ultimately have to wait until the final moments of the match to see France win at the wire.
