Loaned by LOSC in Germany, to Union Berlin, Andrej Ilic already has a label stuck behind his back, that of recruitment carried out in panic during the last hours of the summer transfer window.
Besides Vincent Burlet, whose loan was formalized at Le Mans FC at the end of August, the last departure recorded by LOSC was none other than Andrej Ilic (24 years old), although he arrived six months earlier from Norwegian championship. The Serb, who appeared four times for Lille, was loaned to Union Berlin in the Bundesliga. An operation that Olivier Létang justified by “prospects a little blocked ahead” during a visit to a press conference. Landing at the end of August in the German city, the capital of the country, he has nevertheless not played a single match so far.
Since his arrival in Germany, Andrej Ilic has not been included in Bo Svensson’s group once, contenting himself with observing his teammates in the stands. Fifth in the Bundesliga, Union Berlin must however deal with serious deficiencies in attack, with only six goals scored, the second worst total in the championship. Faced with these difficulties, the media Bild took stock of the situation of the Berlin club and was not kind to the Lille striker. His journalists have in fact described him as “last minute flop” in its columns, a sort of panic buy (a term often mentioned in France).
The tendency would be to purchase an offensive reinforcement during the winter because “any other measure would be negligent” supports the German media, which claims that Union Berlin has been playing without a real center forward since the start of the season. The Berlin team played a friendly match against Pogon Szczecin (Poland) this Thursday, a match in which the Serbian played 45 minutes in the second period. His club also lost (1-3) with two goals conceded during this second act. On social networks, observers are starting to get impatient with him when the supporters of Vålerenga, where he was a resident in Norway, are already starting to imagine him back in their colors.
