Even though he has played two matches since the start of the season, Milan Skriniar does not fit into Luis Enrique’s plans. PSG and the player have agreed to part ways, but the agreement will not be easy to reach.

Freely recruited a year ago, Milan Skriniar was a good deal for Saint-Germain, who at the time had acquired the captain of a top Serie A club for zero euros. The Slovak international was supposed to bring the grit and leadership that PSG lacked in the Champions League, but it turns out that Skriniar’s adventure in the capital turns into a fiasco. Not suited to Luis Enrique’s style of play, the 29-year-old defender is dragging his spleen, as he confided during this international break at a press conference.

Skriniar wants to leave PSG

“Mentally, I’m fine. But I am not happy with this situation” said Milan Skriniar, captain of his selection, ex-captain of Inter, who cannot be satisfied with such little playing time and who therefore opens the door to a departure from PSG in the winter transfer window . This is good, his profile remains appreciated in Europe and particularly in Italy, where he spent the majority of his career. A club is very interested in his services: Juventus Turin. Indeed, the Gazzetta dello Sport reveals that the Old Lady is actively looking for a defender to compensate for the long absence of their Brazilian central Bremer, who was the victim of a cruciate ligament rupture against Leipzig last week in the League of Champions.

Juve are interested, but not at any price

A loan is desired by Juventus Turin, a formula which should not suit PSG for several reasons. First, the reigning French champion would prefer a direct transfer in order to recover a transfer fee, even low, for a player recruited freely a year ago. Then, Juve does not wish to bear 100% of Skriniar’s salary in the event of a loan… and we can understand the Bianconeri club in view of the colossal emoluments that Paris SG offered to the Slovak defender, who receives 10 million euros per year according to the newspaper with the pink pages.

In other words, Juventus Turin wants to get Skriniar back on loan and contribute to a significant part of his salary, but PSG will have to continue to pay a percentage – still to be defined – of their player’s emoluments. Nasser Al-Khelaïfi and Luis Campos will now try to negotiate as best they can with Juventus, knowing that the player is no longer part of Luis Enrique’s plans anyway, and that his salary weighs heavily on the Parisian club’s payroll.
