In the two files studied today, the Ligue de Nouvelle-Aquitaine confirmed the qualification of Bordeaux and the elimination of Bassin d’Arcachon.

The Disputes and Litigation Commission of the Ligue de Nouvelle-Aquitaine had two files to study today on the French Cup. The first was the meeting between Seudre Océan and the Girondins de Bordeaux. The Bordeaux club had in fact brought in Over Mandanda, the second goalkeeper, with a DIY number 16. It was Adrien Louveau’s No. 6 jersey, taken out during the break, with a piece of adhesive tape. His opponent sent a complaint Monday afternoon.

The League deemed it inadmissible because the Charente-Maritime club did not pose a technical reserve after the first stoppage of play. The Girondins de Bordeaux transmitted a similar file in national U17 between Red Star FC and ASJ in March 2023. But it was a championship match and not a cup match. The commission nevertheless judged that the technical reservation should have been made. Unless there is a call from Seudre, the Girondins will therefore be present in the fifth round of the French Cup.

Confirmation of the elimination of FC Bassin d’Arcachon

Which will not be the case for FC Bassin d’Arcachon. Florian Duval completed the club’s great victory at JA (4-1) with a goal at the very end of the match (90′). But small problem: it was not listed on the match sheet! It was in fact his brother Nicolas – usually goalkeeper for team C – who was listed on the computerized match sheet.

Article 187 of the general regulations of the FFF indicates that in the event of “participation of a player not listed on the match sheet […] the sanction is the match lost by penalty ». FC Bassin d’Arcachon is therefore eliminated from the French Cup. JA Biarritz will play the fifth round next weekend.
