This summer, the young Spanish goalkeeper Arnau Tenas, currently at Saint-Germain, attracted the interest of several clubs, including FC . According to information from The Teamthe Canaries wanted to strengthen their squad with the recruitment of Tenas, in particular to compensate for the departure of Rémy Descamps and to boost competition at the goalkeeper position. Trained at La Masia, the FC Barcelona training center, Tenas quickly climbed the ranks thanks to his potential and his profile deemed compatible with the requirements of PSG coach Luis Enrique.

Tenas, still in Parisian plans

Recruited by the Parisian club for the 2023-2024 season, Tenas, 23, was chosen for his ability to play in a system based on a clean pass, a central aspect of the style of play advocated by Luis Enrique. His debut in Ligue 1 was promising, particularly in a match against where he was able to prove decisive. However, the young goalkeeper has also shown signs of inconsistency, as evidenced by his performance in a defeat against , where some of his interventions were criticized.

Besides Nantes, other clubs such as RC and several Spanish teams have shown interest in recruiting Tenas during the summer period. However, despite these requests, Paris Saint-Germain has decided to keep its young goalkeeper. The Parisian club considered it important to keep three competitive goalkeepers in its squad in order to better manage the different competitions.

This refusal of transfer shows that PSG continues to bet on Tenas for the future, despite his sometimes contrasting performances. By remaining in the shadow of Gianluigi Donnarumma, Tenas will have the opportunity to progress and gain maturity, while hoping to find more regularity in his performances in the future.
