Champions League winners Real Madrid, with superstar Kylian Mbappé again failing to score, have slipped up for the second time in their third league match. After the 1-1 draw at RCD Mallorca in the opening match, they also drew 1-1 (0-1) in their second away match of the season at UD Las Palmas. This means that Real are already four points behind arch-rivals FC Barcelona with German coach Hansi Flick early in the season.

Las Palmas could even dream of a sensation after Alberto Moleiro took the lead (5th minute), but Vinicius Junior equalized with a handball penalty (67th minute). Former world champion Mbappé, who moved to the Royal Club from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer, was unlucky in Real’s attack again and is still waiting for his first league goal. So far, the Frenchman has only scored for Real in the European Super Cup against Atalanta Bergamo.
