Galatasaray faced the Swiss team Young Boys in Istanbul tonight in the Champions League play-off round second leg. The match played in Istanbul started at 22:00 Turkish time. The match was refereed by Norwegian referee Espen Eskås.

Galatasaray lost 1-0 to Young Boys and said goodbye to the Champions League in the play-off stage.

The goal came from Virginius in the 87th minute.

Galatasaray’s Fernando Muslera received a red card for his action against an opponent after the ball went into the net.

On the other hand, tension arose between the two teams when two Young Boys players who left the game in the 81st minute of the match lingered on the field instead of going to the sidelines.

The Yellow-Red team took the field with the Icardi-Batshuayi duo to win the match tonight.

Having advanced, Young Boys will advance to stage of the Champions League’s new 36-team format.

Galatasaray will continue its path in the UEFA Europa League groups.

On the other hand, the banners opened by Galatasaray stands behind the goal in the second round match included the words “Free Palestine” and “Humanity lost consciousness in Gaza”.
