He doesn’t manage to score a goal, but Serhou Guirassy still receives praise from all sides for his strong debut.
After his debut for Borussia Dortmund, Serhou Guirassy received praise from all sides. “He is a top player, perfect for us. He lets the ball bounce and can also go deep,” said Karim Adeyemi after the 4:2 (3:1) win against 1. FC Heidenheim: “He is very good on the ball, which definitely helps us. We needed something like that.”

Guirassy, who BVB signed from VfB Stuttgart, thought it was “not bad for the first game,” even though the striker didn’t manage to score. “Of course I want to score, the most important thing is a win for the team,” said Guirassy, who was out for a long time due to a knee injury.
Kehl: “He has brought a lot”
The combinations with double-packers Adeyemi and Donyell Malen already looked good. “He has brought a lot. His presence, the way he draws fouls and holds onto the ball. He will be super important for us,” emphasised sporting director Sebastian Kehl: “How quickly he understands the game, in which spaces he moves and how clever he is.”
Guirassy was substituted in the 72nd minute. “He didn’t get the goal, but it won’t take long,” said Kehl.
