Europa League: Porto and United put on a show, Roma loses in Sweden – C3 – J2

Roma quickly catches a cold.

Total football evening at the Dragão de Porto where Manchester United went this Thursday, to take part in an ultra-prolific draw (3-3). If Marcus Rashford and Rasmus Højlund quickly put the Red Devils on good track, the Portuguese turned everything upside down to find themselves in control ten minutes before the hour mark, notably in the wake of double scorer Samu Omorodion, the new terror of the tenor from the gate. But Harry Maguire stopped the party dead in stoppage time, and the Devils saved a point. Two points in two days, the result is very meager, but a bit better than that of Porto (one unit). In Sweden, Roma continue to enjoy themselves without Daniele De Rossi (no). As with the good memory of a messed up trip to Bodø/Glimt two seasons ago, the Romans collapsed again in a Nordic country. This time no rouste, but a penalty goal from Michael Baidoo, allowing Elfsborg to scalp La Louve (1-0). And knock!

Weak like a Turk

Eintracht Frankfurt played in Turkey (1-3), against a Beşiktaş team just as ghostly as during their last trip to Amsterdam. Former Parisian and Dijon Junior Dina Ebimbe continues to have fun with the German Eagles, with a pawn to boot. A calm victory also for the Athletic Club of Iñaki Williams and Oihan Sancet against AZ (2-0), while Twente and Fenerbahçe shared the bread, the wine and the points (1-1). As for PAOK, it proved to be voiceless in its Toumba lair against Daniel Bîrligea’s FCSB (0-1), despite an entire half playing in numerical superiority. Finally, two goalless draws are to be deplored: Union Saint-Gilloise-Bodø/Glimt (0-0) and Viktoria Plzeň-Ludogorets (0-0).
