The winners of the Molotov TV Awards were revealed this Tuesday October 1st. This ceremony, which celebrates television talents, dedicated Yann Barthès and his show Quotidien on TMC, putting Anne-Élisabeth Lemoine on the sidelines with C à vous on 5.

It was a first. This Tuesday 1is October, the Molotov TV Awards ceremony, chaired by Michel Denisot, rewarded personalities and programs from the small screen in 18 categories. After a pre-selection of TV professionals, it was the public who decided. To vote, viewers had to go to the Molotov TV Awards website and voted from September 5 to 26.

Elise Lucet received two awards: best society magazine for Envoyé Spécial and best investigative show for Cash Investigation. If the France 2 journalist stood out, this was also the case for one of her TMC colleagues.

Molotov TV Awards: Yann Barthès wins two prizes

Indeed, Yann Barthès also scored a double. The star presenter was elected TV personality of the year. He was in competition with his great rival Cyril Hanouna but also with Anne-Élisabeth Lemoine, Pascal Praud and Léa Salamé.

And then, Quotidien received
the best talk show award. The TMC show was opposed to C à vous (France 5), TPMP (C8), Quelle époque! (France 2) and C in the air (France 5). This list left Anne-Élisabeth Lemoine in the lurch, who nevertheless intends to compete with prime-time access on the small screen with her daily show C à vous.

Molotov TV Awards: two honorary trophies awarded

Two trophies of honor were awarded to salute the careers of Nicolas de Tavernostpresident of M6 for more than three decades and Maryse Burgotjournalist from France 2 and war reporter.

“It rewards courses […] It pays homage to this profession which is not often highlighted and which is an extremely risky profession. It’s often women from elsewhere who are war reporters and Maryse Burgot, we chose her for that”explained Michel Denisot in Media Culture on Europe 1. Even if he is now more discreet on the small screen, the latter confided that he continues to watch television regularly. Aged 79, the former presenter of Le Grand journal on Canal+ revealed that he was a fan of La Grande Librairie, presented by Augustin Trapenard on France 5.
