Galatasaray lost 1-0 to Swiss team Young Boys in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League play-off round and bid farewell to the organization. Midfielder Kerem Demirbay of the yellow-red team made a statement to the press members after the match.
The 31-year-old football player, who stated that he was sorry for the defeat, said, “We could not succeed, we are sorry. We could not do what was befitting of Galatasaray and our country. We wanted to represent our country and Galatasaray, but we could not succeed.”
Kerem Demirbay, who stated that they wanted to do what befits Turkey in the UEFA Europa League, said, “As a positive energy family and team, we want to go wherever we can. We want to be successful. Hopefully, this will happen.”
Kerem Demirbay concluded his speech with the following statements:
