After years of rumors about Kylian Mbappe moving to Real Madrid, the Frenchman finally joined the Royal Club this summer. Before that, however, he apparently received two mega offers, which he turned down in order to fulfill his dream of moving to Real.VG Wort tracking pixel

It has recently become known that Paris Saint-Germain have been trying for weeks to keep Kylian Mbappe. What was not clear, however, was that the Parisians had lured the Frenchman with a record offer. As Tribalfootball reports, the French capital club has made the 25-year-old an offer of 500 million euros net.

Mbappe could have signed a five-year contract, which would have corresponded to an annual net salary of 100 million euros. This would have meant that the amount he would have earned in Paris would have been four times higher than his current salary at Real Madrid. In addition, he could have signed a lifelong contract as ambassador for Qatar, which would also have been well paid.

Saudi Arabia also tried to lure the superstar into the Saudi Pro League and even lured him with even more money. In the desert state, the 2018 world champion could have earned a billion euros over five seasons. Vinicius Junior is said to have recently received a similar offer.

However, the offers were apparently not lucrative enough for Mbappe and he decided to fulfill his dream of moving to Real – even though he would earn a lot less there. The Champions League record winners signed him from PSG on a free transfer, which is why Mbappe received a hefty signing-on fee.

The striker is currently involved in a legal dispute with his former employer. It concerns outstanding salary payments and loyalty bonuses. He has already played three competitive matches for Real and even scored in the UEFA Super Cup. In the Spanish La Liga, the exceptional striker is still waiting for his first goal after two games played.
