Transfers / Top 14 – Folau Fainga'a (Clermont) on the Vannes shelves

At the end of his contract in Clermont, Australian hooker Folau Fainga'a arrives at the end of his contract in Auvergne. RC would be in line to welcome him.

Looking for a hooker, the RC Vannes has targeted several profiles currently playing in the Top 14. According to our information, Folau Fainga'a (29 years old, 38 caps) would be particularly appreciated by Breton recruiters. The Wallaby hooker is coming to the end of his commitment with Clermont, the club where he has been playing since 2023. Whether they are in Top 14 or Pro D2, this would be a significant reinforcement for the current red lantern of the first division. To date, he has 38 caps with Australia, the last dating back to November 2022. Not selected to play in the 2023 World Cup with the Wallabies, he immediately joined Clermont.

With the Auvergnats, he has played 27 matches to date, including eight this season. He is currently injured in one foot. In Christophe Urios' squad, he is in competition with Barnabé Massa and Etienne Fourcade. In Vannes, at the hooker position, Pat Leafa, Théo Béziat and Cyril Blanchard are currently competing for playing time.
