Sama Malolo has signed up for the next two seasons starting next June with the USAP. He comes to strengthen a position on which the Catalan management worked a lot.
It was a position that created a lot of discussion about future seasons: that of hooker. Behind Ignacio Ruiz, who should gradually earn his starting stripes, it was necessary to prepare for the future and strengthen this position when the Argentinian is with the Pumas, especially since we do not yet know what will happen to the future of Seilala Lam.
And the USAP and Franck Azéma have set their sights on another Samoan. This is Sama Malolo (26 years old, 1.83 m, 109 kg, non-Jiff). The former Auckland and Moana Pasifika player in New Zealand has signed up for the next two seasons at USAP from next season.
A fairly young but still experienced reinforcement. The former Australia U20 international has 13 caps with Manu Samoa. He took part in the last World Cup in France as a substitute for Catalan Seilala Lam, scoring three tries coming off the bench. He also started in Samoa's last match against England.
This is the third blood and gold recruit for the 2025-2026 season, after the signings of Tristan Tedder and Peceli Yato at the beginning of November.
