He confided this week, in an interview with La Dépêche du Midi, to be in negotiations with Stade Toulousain for a contract extension. “It's in progress yes, we are discussing. For the moment there is nothing decided yet, neither with Toulouse, nor elsewhere. I'm giving myself time to think,” explained the 23-year-old player.

His thinking would ultimately have been quite rapid. Things have accelerated for Clément Vergé, who now sees his future a little more clearly. At the end of the lease next June, the second row should still wear the Toulouse colors next year. The Stade and the Ariégeois have reportedly reached an agreement to extend their collaboration for two additional seasons.
