Nansen and Gauthier on the sidelines

In the Basque Country (15-35 defeat), Zack Gauthier (ribs) and Brandon Nansen (foot fracture) were affected. If the absence of the left pillar will not be long, the Samoan 2nd row will be sidelined for three months.

They will be respectively replaced by Tommy Raynaud and Thomas Lainault, who will also be the captain of the Rouge et Bleu on Friday.

Captain because Antonin Berruyer (wearer of the armband throughout September) leaves his place in 3rd line to Thibaut Martel, recovered from a slight hip injury, alongside captains Madeira and Muarua.

At the hinge, as part of the usual rotation, Eric Escande returns to his starting place, in place of Barnabé Couilloud, to lead the game alongside Max Clément. A Clément reinforced in his role as fly-half, due to the convalescence of Sam Davies (shoulder).

Within the three-quarter line, Geoffrey Cros (winger) and the Georgian Giorgi Kveseladze were preferred, respectively, to the Fijian Kaminieli Rasaku and Julien Hériteau.

The return of Javakhia

The Georgians will be three on the Grenoble match sheet because 2nd row Giorgi Javakhia, back from suspension (two weeks), returns to the list of finishers. Just like his compatriot Giorgi Mamaiashvili, replacement left pillar due to Gauthier’s injury, while Eli Eglaine (wrist) is finishing his convalescence.

We will also note the return among the 23 of the Namibian Gerswin Mouton, not seen since the 2nd day against Provence Rugby (15-12). Alongside him, hooker Bastien Soury and flyhalf Marc Palmier will bring their experience of the position.
