Big names of the Hells Angels attended Thursday the funeral of mafia Francesco Del Balso, murdered last week in the west of the metropolis.

Less than 100 people were present at the funeral of the 53-year-old man celebrated at the end of the morning, at the Notre-Dame-de-Pompei church, in the Ahuntsic district, in Montreal.

Among the guests, we found in particular the most powerful Hells in Quebec – and perhaps even in Canada –, Martin Robert, who was accompanied by his wife Annie Arbic.

We could also see on the spot the influential members of the criminal gang Stéphane Plouffe and Robert Barletta, in particular.

As is always the case at funerals for people associated with organized crime, plainclothes police were stationed in unmarked vehicles around the church to photograph everyone who entered or left the building.

Francesco Del Balso was killed by several projectiles from a firearm on June 5, when he had just left the Gym Monster, along Highway 40, in Dorval.

According to our information, he had had an encounter with the Hells Martin Robert a few minutes before he was shot.

Francesco Del Balso had known for some time that he was living on borrowed time. Knowing he was in danger, he had bulletproof windows installed on his Laval residence, as well as barbed wire around his house.

He usually traveled in an armored vehicle and always wore a bulletproof vest.
