A caregiver loses two years of retirement contributions because of an error by her employer: “I can’t sleep anymore”

Dominique, a 64-year-old caregiver, had planned to retire and leave her position last September. She worked two more years in a public hospital in the Dordogne to ensure that her retirement pension would cover her needs. But these additional 24 months will not be taken into account because his employer forgot to send a letter on time to the National Pension Fund for Local Authority Agents (CNRACL), tells Ici Périgord.

The hospital tried to explain the situation to the pension fund, but to no avail. The woman alerted local elected officials but they all told her they were powerless in this matter. “I don’t sleep anymore, I ruminate on all this, I don’t see any way out, no solution,” she testified.

“It’s so absurd”

The sixty-year-old therefore contributed for nothing even though she worked beyond the legal retirement age, i.e. 62 years in the public service. She will lose 300 euros per month because of this story when she stops working. For now, she has decided to continue working until the error is “fixed.”

“It’s so absurd, I thought that a letter would rectify the situation, and in view of my pay slips,” confided the one who considers herself a “victim of administrative red tape”. She has a new hope of winning her case: she plans to file a voluntary appeal with the CNRACL.
