A budget of 120 million DH will be dedicated to strengthening the drinking water supply in the city of Ouarzazate. The start of work to strengthen the supply network was given on Saturday, for the benefit of several municipalities located on the Ouarzazate-Sekoura axis from the city’s hydraulic installations.

This project, whose work will be completed next September, will benefit from a contribution of 90 million DH from the Ministry of the Interior. It will supply a target population of around 90,000 inhabitants, including 45,000 new beneficiaries, located on the Ouarzazate-Sekoura axis.

The project, he explained, consists in particular of the construction of a 30 km water pipe for the supply of drinking water, the establishment of a pumping station with a 500 m3 and the construction of a storage tank with a capacity of 1,500 m3, detailed the general director of the Ouarzazate Aménagement Company, Brahim Hammou Aouja.
