The question of lifting the parliamentary immunity of MP Farba Ngom will be the subject of a session this Friday, January 17, 2025.
The procedure for lifting the parliamentary immunity of this elected official was initiated following the establishment of an ad-hoc Commission. This commission, which will be formed tomorrow, Wednesday January 15, 2025, will have the mission of processing the file in depth and preparing the ground for the plenary which will be held in four (4) days.
This Friday, the question will be submitted to all parliamentarians, who will have to decide on the lifting of Farba Ngom’s immunity. If the plenary validates the decision, the deputy could be subject to legal proceedings concerning the facts with which he is accused.
