Terrorism: the US Treasury sanctions a Moroccan residing in Germany

The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the United States Department of the Treasury has added a Moroccan, Abdelghani Mzoudi, to the updated list of Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons (SDN), as part of its sanctions program against terrorism (SDGT). Mr. Mzoudi, born December 6, 1972 in Marrakech, is listed under this category due to his alleged involvement in activities linked to terrorism.

The individual, also known by the aliases Abdelghani Mazwati and Abdelghani Mazuti, holds multiple Moroccan nationality identifiers, including passports M271392 and F879567, as well as Moroccan personal identifier E427689.

It is stated that Mr. Mzoudi currently resides in Hamburg, Germany, at two separate addresses: Op de Wisch 15, 21149 Hamburg, and Marienstrasse 54, Hamburg.

“The recent information in this update is part of OFAC’s ongoing effort to enforce sanctions against individuals involved in terrorist activities while ensuring compliance with international regulations”it was indicated.
