Paris Saint-Germain confirmed its superiority in Ligue 1 by winning a convincing victory (2-1) against AS Saint-Étienne on Sunday evening, at the end of the 17th day of the championship. Led by Ousmane Dembélé in great form, the Parisians won at the Parc des Princes after a completely controlled match.
At the origin of the Parisian success, Ousmane Dembélé, author of his team’s two goals, showed the extent of his talent. In the 13th minute, the French winger opened the scoring with a clear strike. A few minutes later, he scored twice from the penalty spot, awarded after the referees’ video assistance (VAR) check, allowing his team to take a comfortable lead in the 23rd minute.
However, AS Saint-Étienne was not unworthy. The Greens, courageous and enterprising at the start of the match, tried to compete by setting a high pace from the first minutes. Zuriko Davitashvili, very active on the right flank, particularly worried the Parisian defense on several occasions.
