The HC Bienne-HC Ambri Piotta hockey match turned out to be stormy at the Tissot Arena on Saturday evening, the Bernese cantonal police communicated on Sunday evening.

Around 9:10 p.m., during a break in the match, a Berne Cantonal Police patrol noticed an altercation at the north entrance to the arena.

According to the first elements gathered, two supporters of HC Ambri Piotta were approached by a group of Biel supporters in the northern area of ​​the “Place Publique”.

For reasons that remain to be determined, they came to blows, one of the two HC supporters Ambri Piotta fell to the ground. When the intervention forces arrived on site, the attackers fled.

The patrol on site provided first aid to the injured man who was then picked up by an ambulance and taken to hospital.
