On Wednesday January 8, the final of the 7th Voices from Overseas competition takes place at the Opéra Bastille in Paris. Mytsuru Kato is the winner of the competition in Polynesia and participates in the event alongside all the other representatives from Overseas.
Mytsuru Kato won the Polynesian final of the Voices from Overseas competition organized on September 24, 2024 at the Maison de la Culture. She will therefore be on the stage of the Paris Opera on January 8 for the national final of the Voix des Outre-mer competition. Since 2019, opera singer Fabrice di Falco and the Les Contres Courants association have organized this event to promote the emergence of high-level overseas singers.
They will be 12 candidates in total, in training or professionals, from the overseas regional finals are in the running to compete in front of a jury of Music and media professionals, chaired by Richard Marteteditor-in-chief ofOpera magazine and lyrical art critic. During the evening, the “Voix des Overseas”, “Young Talent” and “The public’s favorite” prizes will be awarded.
