The auction of Maimouna Ndour Faye’s property, initially scheduled for Monday January 6, 2025, has been suspended. The information was revealed by Radio Futurs Médias (RFM), citing a source close to the matter.
This suspension comes following a request for interim relief on difficulties filed by Maimouna Ndour Faye, director of the 7TV channel. This procedure aims to obtain a temporary postponement or cancellation of the sale of goods, pending a legal settlement of the dispute.

As a reminder, the case dates back to 2016 and involves a financial dispute between the companies 3M Multimedia and Gold Media Afrique. The dispute concerns a debt of 89 million CFA francs that 3M Multimedia owes to Gold Media Afrique. This amount is at the heart of the tensions which led to the attempted auction of Ms. Ndour Faye’s property.
A hearing is now scheduled for Monday January 13 before the Dakar commercial court. This hearing should make it possible to clarify the differences between the parties concerned and to consider a legal outcome to this matter.
