The eighth edition of the tournament, co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania, will take place from February 1 to 28, 2025 and is reserved exclusively for African footballers playing in their domestic leagues.

According to the press release from the Confederation of African (CAF), the tournament promises to be an exceptional showcase of African football, especially as it will see the participation of several major African football nations, including Senegal who won the title in 2022 after a victory in the final against Algeria.

As in previous editions, the CHAN CAF 2024 is eagerly awaited by football fans across the continent and beyond, and will be a springboard for emerging talents like Lamine Camara, recently named best young African player at the CAF Awards 2024 .

The nations qualified for CHAN 2024 are Morocco, Senegal, Guinea, Mauritania, Niger, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, Central African Republic, Congo, DR Congo, Kenya (host country), Tanzania ( host country), Uganda (host country), Sudan, Rwanda, Zambia, Angola and Madagascar.
