The 3rd edition of the International Street Arts Festival opened Friday evening in Taroudant, with the participation of a range of local, national and foreign artists.
Organized by the “Jaouhara cultural arts” association, in partnership with the municipal and provincial councils of Taroudant, this two-day artistic event aims to contribute to promoting artistic and cultural creativity and to offer young people the opportunity to showcase their talents in different artistic styles.
The opening ceremony of this edition was marked by a tribute paid to the Moroccan actor Abdo El Mensanoui, as well as to other associative actors. On the menu of this event is a range of rich and varied shows and artistic expressions, where street arts are invented and mixed between circus arts, street music, drawing, portrait, graffiti art, fire fireworks, acrobatics, living statue, caricature and exhibition of plastic arts. According to the organizers, this artistic event aims to promote the city of Taroudant at the national and international levels, to contribute to tourism and economic development, to encourage young talents and to create a space for the exchange of experiences and ideas.
In a statement to MAP, the director of the festival, Mohamed Bouchoufa, stressed that this event has become an annual meeting whose mission is to allow young artists and festival-goers to open up more and discover the arts of the street.
This edition is marked by the participation of several artists from Mali, Portugal, Spain, Chile and Senegal.
