The 14th edition of the Luxor Festival for African Film, which will be held from January 9 to 14, will be marked by a forum entitled “The future of African film festivals in the digital age”, with Moroccan participation.

This forum, scheduled for January 11 and 12, will bring together personalities such as the director of the Khouribga African Cinema Festival, Iz-Eddine Gourirran, the director of the Dakhla International Film Festival, Zine El Abidine Charafeddine, as well as the producer and Egyptian distributor Gaby Khoury, the head of programming and director of the Durban International Film Festival, Andrea Voges, the director of the New York African Film Festival, Mahen Bonetti, the director of the Cairo International Film Festival, Essam Zakaria, the artistic director of the Rome African Film Festival, Antonio Flamini and the representative of the Pan-African Cinema and Television Festival of Ouagadougou (Fespaco). Designed as a space for collaboration and exchange of ideas between filmmakers, festival directors and experts in the seventh art, this conclave will examine the challenges and opportunities of the African film industry, while looking at ways to optimize the use of technology to strengthen its presence at the international level.
