Adriano Bertaccini is coming off a more than successful year with Sint-Truiden. He speaks about the challenges of the coming weeks.
Last winter, Adriano Bertaccini left RFC Liège for Saint-Trond. A year after its first year in the first division, the results are striking: author of four goals at the end of last season, Carolo has already reached eleven for the current year.
Despite its offensive contribution, STVV deplores the team’s lack of success. The failures in front of the opposing goal do not compensate for the defensive problems (the Canaries have the second most permeable defense in the elite).
No more room for error
Het Belang van Limburg therefore asked Bertaccini what offensive reinforcements he would ideally see arriving at Stayen. If the 24-year-old striker has never hidden his admiration for Louis Fatheron loan from Anderlecht, he seems under the spell of another Mauve.
“I get along really well with Zahiroleslam and Ferrari. But if I really have to name names, I would say Luis Vazquez or Zinho Gano. They are good strikers,” explains Bertaccini.
The Trudonnaire striker was also asked about his celebration. He had in fact promised to reproduce the now legendary dance of the earthworm by Jan van den Bergh but has not yet done so: “I will do it, don’t worry. I scored at Charleroibut the circumstances were not good. We were being led and I said I wouldn’t do it in my hometown. And I’m also thinking about doing it or not at Stayen: such a celebration on an artificial pitch is risky for the knees” he laughs.
