Ten people were shot and injured in a mass shooting in the Queens borough of New York on the night of January 1.

The incident occurred Wednesday evening around 11:20 p.m. in an event space outside a concert hall in Queens, New York police announced during a press briefing Thursday morning.

Three or four men reportedly opened fire on a group of people waiting outside the concert hall.

Among the injured are six women and four men aged 16 to 20 who are said to be in stable condition in hospital, according to authorities.

At the time of the shooting, at least 90 people were inside the building, including about 15 people waiting in line outside, according to ABC News.
