Ahmed Al-Charaa unveiled a timetable for a democratic transition. In this regard, he once again called for a review of United Nations resolution 2254, adopted in 2015, serving as a basis for talks on a democratic transition between the Syrian regime and the opposition, considering that the context has changed and that the transition he proposes respects the« essence ».

Elections in Syria could only take place in four years, he said, citing the need to conduct a full census of the population, which includes 13 million displaced people, inside and outside the country. country, by thirteen years of civil war. He says he wants to give time to the organization of a national dialogue and the writing of a new Constitution after five decades of dictatorship of the Al-Assad clan.
