Guillaume Lemay-Thivierge reveals his big return to a film set in a very rare Instagram publication. “It makes me all feverish inside,” confides the host who has not been seen on television since the controversy surrounding a racist video that he shared in March 2024.
Difficult to say which film set we are talking about, but Guillaume Lemay-Thivierge will be back on television shortly.
“I like it, coming on set, it’s the first time I’ve been back on a film set in a long time,” the 48-year-old actor whispers to the camera.
This is his first Instagram post in almost a year.
“I’m super excited, very, very happy,” adds the husband of singer and host Émily Bégin.
At the end of the clip, we find the host in a black suit, sitting on a chair, ready to shoot, behind the film clapperboard.
Controversial
Remember that Guillaume Lemay-Thivierge sowed controversy by publishing a video deemed racist in March 2024. We saw him walking in a wooded area and saying: “Sometimes, life is also about working. Work hard. There is an expression that sums it up very well. Sometimes it means saying, “I have a big job,” while hugging a birch tree on which the “n” word is engraved.
Its publication immediately began to attract comments of astonishment and anger from Internet users and artists.
He subsequently lost his position as host of the show Masked singers. Sébastien Benoît was selected to replace him.

The couple Guillaume Lemay-Thivierge and Émily Bégin were not called to return as a witness couple on the show If we loved each other. It was the one formed by Marie-Ève Janvier and Jean-François Breau who was chosen to take over.
