The trailer, the plot, the protagonists: everything we can expect from the new chapter of the highly anticipated South Korean drama

Three years after the record-breaking debut in 2021, «Squid Game» torna su Netflix with its second season. Presented as an absolute preview at Lucca Comics & Games in the presence of the creator, director and screenwriter of the series, Hwang Dong-hyuk and the protagonist actors Lee Jung-jae (player 456) and Wi Ha-jun (Hwang Jun-ho), the series Korean global phenomenon will be available again from today, December 26th, on Netflix. The official timetable has also been announced, 9 in the morning (Italian time).

It was the creator of the series himself, Hwang Dong-hyuk, who explained the biggest difference of the new chapter compared to the previous one: «If the first season was focused on player 456 and about his experience in the game and how he comes to victory, the second season will see a greater focus on his memories of this one atrocious experience and on his actual return to the game to stop him once and for all.”

As regards the locations of the fiction, however, the director explained that we will see both familiar places of the first season like the dormitory but also theiconic colorful ladder from Squid Game and the gaming space but there will also be many new elements such as new games, new characters and new locations.

Then a spoiler on soundtrack of the new episodes which also contains two Italian songs including «Nessun Dorma» by Giacomo Puccini which will be in the first episode of the second season but also «Time to Say Goodbye» by Andrea Bocelli.
