A car hit some people at the Christmas market in Magdeburg in Germany. This was stated by the Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk, the local public radio and television broadcaster of the German Länder of Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia, quoting the spokesperson of the local regional government. There were some injuries. Emergency services and firefighters are present on site. The driver of the vehicle was arrested.

Bild writes this, explaining that it has received confirmation from the spokesperson of the regional government of Saxony-Anhalt. According to eyewitnesses, the car ended up directly into the crowd of people heading towards the town hall. The market was closed at the time of the incident. There is talk of at least 20 injured.
