Expected next January, the Oppo Find X8 Ultra is preparing to take on the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra at the very high end. Today we are discovering what the configuration of the camera will likely be on the photo side… and there would be reason to rejoice.
Four rear cameras, bringing together a main photo module, an ultra-wide-angle sensor, and no less than two zoom lenses mounted as periscopes. This is what Oppo would prepare for us for its future Find X8 Ultra.
Expected at the start of 2025, the big brother of the Find X8 Pro, tested recently on Frandroidwill visibly have the weapons to properly confront future models premium from Samsung in the photo field.
Considering the specifications that we are discovering today, the device could even be one of the best photophones of 2025. A source from a renowned Chinese user has in fact revealed on Weibo the main specifications of the four rear sensors of the Find X8 Ultra… which would in this case be armed largely by Sony.
Four 50 Mpx Sony sensors, for all uses?
We learn in fact that the device would rely on a 50 Mpx Sony LYT-900 1-inch main sensor. This main module, which we know to be efficient, would be supported by a 50 Mpx Sony IMX882 ultra-wide-angle module (in 1/1.95 inch this time), while two periscopic telephoto lenses would also be provided.
In this case, these two zooms would both have a 50 Mpx resolution. The first (1/1.56 inch) would offer a focal length equivalent to a 75 mm lens, while the second (1/1.95 inch) would offer a 150 mm equivalence.
As a reminder, the Oppo Find X8 Ultra is otherwise supposed to feature a 6.8-inch 2K AMOLED screen, with an integrated fingerprint sensor. The device would also have IP68 and IP69 certifications, and would be powered by a 6,000 mAh battery, compatible with 80W wired fast charging.
If confirmed, this last technical element could also disappoint some, Oppo having already introduced even faster recharges on certain smartphones. The current Find X7 Ultra, for example, benefits from 100 W compatibility.
