“Biased” and “in bad faith”: the President of the Council of State did not spare a hand in qualifying the latest report from the Court of Auditors (CDC). A sign of a clear deterioration in relations between the policeman of public funds and the government, the two bodies clashed through press conferences on Monday.
Tensions had been brewing for several months. The latest compliance audit by the Court of Auditors revealed clear disagreements. At issue: the report on the allocation of external mandates. The Finance Commission asked the CDC to study the conformity of the processes for awarding mandates, following the revelations of the Temps and Léman Bleu concerning those granted by the department of former State Councilor Fabienne Fischer to associations close to her companion.
