Belgian author Patrick Lowie presents his new work “The Trilogy of Illusions”, a work bringing together three novels initially published separately, during an evening scheduled for December 5, 2024 at the Abla Ababou gallery in Rabat.
This novel explores the themes of discovery, love, loss, identity, wandering and resilience, through the journey of Pedro, a central character who crosses Portugal, Morocco, India and Italy. Patrick Lowie was born in Brussels in 1964. He is a French-speaking Belgian writer, editor, screenwriter, visual artist and director. A polymorphous artist, he is distinguished by his sculptural creations and his practice of divinatory tarot.
His work explores the boundaries between dream and reality, poetry and oneirism, fiction and autobiography. His rich and diverse career spans several decades and encompasses writing, film and theater. His first published work, “I am a positive hero”, is a collection of short stories which suggests a preoccupation with the dreamlike already present in his style. This exploration of dreams will then be fully affirmed in his books: twenty-two publications to date.
