Agents of the Mobile Customs Brigade of Koungheul made a major drug seizure this Sunday, November 24, 2024, reports a press release from the communication and public relations division of the general directorate of Senegalese customs.
“During a check, they discovered 235 kg of pure cocaine, divided into 210 strips, hidden in a pick-up coming from a neighboring country. The value of the merchandise is estimated at 18.8 billion CFA francs,” the source informs.
According to the press release, the drugs were hidden in a hiding place between the chassis and the bed of the vehicle. The driver, a foreigner, was arrested, and an investigation is underway to dismantle the network behind this trafficking. »
