The 3rd edition of CoDays, organized on November 22 and 23 in Rabat, brought together an audience of national and international experts for two days of exchanges and debates around the theme: “The patient at the heart of innovation”.

This new edition highlighted medical and technological advances intended to improve the care of patients with cancer. During the opening ceremony, Dr. Mounir Bachouchi, oncologist and director of the November 16 oncology clinic, highlighted that “this new edition of CoDays marks a major turning point, bringing together world-renowned experts from the United States. , from , Canada, Belgium and of course, Morocco. This year, we are also celebrating the creation of MO-MASCC, the Moroccan subsidiary of this global association, which will strengthen the integration of supportive care into the patient journey in Morocco. We are also honored to collaborate with the Lalla Salma Cancer Foundation, which shared its innovative vision on supportive treatments in oncology. It was also a valuable opportunity to highlight the expertise of our clinic, while allowing other experts to present the latest advances and innovations in the field. Highlights included a session dedicated to supportive care and telemedicine, where innovative digital tools for patient monitoring were presented, notably by Dr Florian Scotté, President of MoASCC, who highlighted the importance of telemonitoring . “This event addresses two key aspects: the effectiveness of treatments, with several communications on therapeutic advances in various themes such as breast cancer, digestive cancers or even lung cancers, and the qualitative approach thanks to health care. support. The objective of supportive care is to optimize treatments, both in terms of effectiveness and tolerance, in order to improve not only the quantity of life but above all the quality of life of patients. This vision, supported by MASCC, the international association of supportive care, places supportive care as a fundamental pillar of oncological care.” Discussions also focused on major cancers such as breast, lung, prostate and digestive cancers, highlighting targeted therapies and the latest advances in radiotherapy. For her part, Dr Fatma Ben Abid, oncologist, assured that “supportive care represents an essential dimension in the care of patients with cancer. They are not limited to supporting treatments, but aim to improve the quality of life of patients by meeting their physical, psychological and social needs. Through this edition of CoDays, we were able to demonstrate the importance of integrating this care from diagnosis and throughout the therapeutic journey. This reflects our commitment to providing comprehensive and humane care, where each patient is at the heart of our priorities.”
