It’s the last day of window 2 of qualifications for Afrobasket 2025. South Sudan, the DRC for group A, Senegal and even Cameroon for group C want to succeed this Sunday.
Which teams will finish as leaders of their groups at the end of this tournament? The answer will be known this evening at the end of the third and final day. The South Sudanese are favorites to finish first in Group A after the first two days where they beat Morocco and Mali. They will be opposed to the DRC which did the same. The objective will be to make a big splash and maximize their chances before the return phase in February. It’s the same scenario in Group C where Senegal and Cameroon will face each other at 6 p.m. They both beat Gabon and Rwanda. The team led by Cheikh Sarr will try to achieve a victory at Dakar Arena in the last hour.
The next window which will reveal the 16 teams participating in the Afrobasket will take place in February 2025. As a reminder, the continental meeting will take place in August in Angola.
