Grizzly disappeared in 2011, in Haute-Saône, before being found and taken care of by Nathalie Giros, the president of an animal protection association who told the story of this little miracle on her Facebook account.
For Grizzly owners, “it’s the miracle of Christmas before Christmas.” After disappearing 13 years ago in Haute-Saône, a cat was found by Nathalie Giros, the president of an animal protection association called “Mille et une pattes” and located in the Territoire de Belfort.
On her Facebook account, the latter recounted how this little miracle managed to find its owners when she had discovered “a cat in a terrible state of indescribable thinness”.
Once in her hands, Nathalie Giros confided that she took the feline to a veterinarian who managed to identify it as Grizzly, a 17-year-old cat. The keepers and the president of the association then tried to contact its owners, but without success. In fact, the telephone number was no longer assigned.
However, Nathalie obtained the name of the veterinarian who, 17 years ago, had identified the animal. She was in Besançon. At the other end of the line, he is told “that Grizzly has been missing since 2011 and that she knows the family. We are both overcome by the thrills and emotion”, she continues on her Facebook post.
Finally, a few hours later, the president of the association spoke with Grizzly's owner on the phone. She indicated that her mistress lives about a hundred kilometers away, in Haute-Saône. “Tomorrow, his owners will come to pick him up. I’m sad, but it’s the miracle of Christmas before Christmas,” she concludes.
