This is one of CAF's most important aids. most anticipated of the yearespecially since it is designed to help many households in precarious situations : the Christmas bonus will be, this year in 2024, paid on December 13 to eligible people. Depending on the number of people in the household, but also depending on its financial capacitythe amount will be more or less high.
A significant boost, especially in times of inflation. Unfortunately for the 2.3 million people who benefit each year, the amount should not be much different from last year. It should, at a minimum, provide
152,45 euros. To benefit from it, however, many conditions must be brought together. It is therefore normal to ask the question, if you touch the
activity bonusto find out if you can accumulate the latter.
CAF: are the activity bonus and the Christmas bonus compatible?
Are these two aids paid by CAF compatible? The answer is yes, but be careful not to get excited: certain conditions must be respected. In fact, these two aids are completely independent of each other. The Christmas bonus, for example, is only awardedonce a year, in December. It mainly concerns beneficiaries of certain social minimums. The activity bonus, on the other hand, is intended for workers with modest incomes, whether they are employees or self-employed.
Its amount depends on your income, your family situation and the number of dependent children. To be able to combine it with the activity bonus (which must be paid to you in November and December 2024), you must also receive the RSA. THE
“your household resources must not exceed the amount of the basic RSA which corresponds to the composition of the family”
in this case, according to the site aide-social.fr. If this is not the case, and you only touch the first, then you will not be able to accumulate.

This other allowance that can be combined with the Christmas bonus
If you are eligible for both aid, the activity bonus and the Christmas bonus, they will be paid to you without one affecting the other. And what about seniors, or surviving spouses who receive widow's allowance ? Is it also possible to combine the two? The situation is also particular, but not impossible.
To obtain these two aids and combine them, you must be registered with Pôle Emploi and receive the AER (Retirement Equivalent Allowance). A device that has no longer been available since 2011, but from which some people still benefit. If and only if you meet these conditions, you will be able to receive the Christmas bonus. However, you will only receive the amount for a single person without children, that is to say 152.54 euros.
