A 15-year-old high school girl experienced a real ordeal on Thursday June 27 in the early afternoon. This young girl of Ukrainian nationality was leaving her high school, in Meaux (Seine-et-Marne), and was heading towards a park in the town when she was approached by an individual around 2 p.m.
The latter is suspected of having put his hand over her mouth before forcing her into his apartment, located in a quiet street in the city center of Meaux, and of having raped her, we learned this Friday Le Figaro from concordant sources. While her attacker was taking a shower, the young victim found the courage and strength to flee by taking the individual’s passport.

Trapped on the ground floor of the building, the high school student began screaming. Alerted by screams, a passerby called for help from a man who managed to break the glass door that was blocking the victim’s escape. The high school student and the woman who helped her then took refuge in a restaurant. Frightened and crying, the young girl warned her mother while witnesses contacted the police and firefighters.
The high school student, who had bruises and scratch marks, was taken to hospital. Meaux municipal police arrested the suspect shortly before 3:30 p.m. According to our information, he is a 27-year-old Tunisian well known to the police and the justice system. His TAJ (a file for processing criminal records which lists the persons accused and the victims in criminal cases, Editor’s note) contains 15 mentions. Affected by an OQTF (obligation to leave French territory, Editor’s note), he was already known to the justice system for acts of a sexual nature, a source close to the case tells us. “An investigation and police custody are underway.
